Daniel and I have been spending lots of time outdoors lately. We take walks, play in the pool, wander around the garden, etc. Last week, we were walking across the yard, and I asked, "Daniel, what color is the grass?" He immediately replied, "Green!" After a short pause, he looked up at me and said meaningfully, "John Deere green." Spoken like a true farm boy! Yes, sweetie, the grass is indeed John Deere green.
This past weekend Brian set the trot line, and on Monday morning we all went to check it. Daniel brought his little fishing pole along and had such fun throwing his bobber in the water and reeling it back in again. It was a successful outing...we caught two good-sized catfish. Daniel was delighted!
